I first discovered Tunas Muda in 2016 while searching for an International Baccalaureate (IB) school that was close to home and aligned with our family’s values. The IB curriculum, combined with a Catholic foundation, assured me that my children would grow academically, socially, and spiritually.

Tunas Muda School is truly a place of growth and I am proud to have grown as an educator and as a leader during my 31 years in this, my second home. Our nurturing culture enables children to grow into responsible, ambitious and principled young people and I am always delighted when former students come back to visit us, sharing their many memories of their primary school days.

Often it’s things that we didn’t realise were important that have become their lasting memories; chatting with teachers over lunch in the canteen, free clothes days when they donated a small amount of money for the excitement of not wearing their uniform for a day, or break times playing basketball in the playground that now seems smaller than the one they remember! These memories remind me that every little thing we do as teachers and as a school, makes a difference and inspires me to continue to work hard to make each day special to our learners and educators.

It was always my dream to teach in a good school, and that dream came true when I joined Tunas Muda in 2009. For me, this place is more than just a workplace - it truly feels like a family. We are surrounded by supportive leaders, caring staff, enthusiastic learners, and wonderful parents who share the same vision for the children.

Since joining Tunas Muda in 2021, I have felt that this is not just a workplace, but a community where I continue to grow and feel deeply appreciated for the achievements I have made. What makes Tunas Muda so special to me is the open-minded vision shared by everyone — a vision to keep learning, to keep growing, and to create an environment where both students and teachers can thrive.

As I reflect on my nine years at Tunas Muda School, I feel truly grateful for the journey I have been entrusted with. What began as an opportunity to teach has grown into a deeply fulfilling experience of leading, learning, and growing alongside an incredible community. I am especially thankful to the school management for their trust and support.

I am privileged to have talented students who are the heart of my teaching journey at Tunas Muda. They are gifted with curiosity, determination, and unique perspectives which are my greatest source of inspiration.

The staff are a caring and dedicated team with a collaborative spirit, creating a positive and enriching environment.

The parents here are truly our wonderful partners as their trust to teachers have been vital in creating an environment where supportive learning thrives.

These nine years have been more than a career - they have been a calling. I am proud to be a part of the Tunas Muda family and I look forward to continuing to contribute to a community that shapes lives, strengthens faith in God, builds character, and inspires future generations to be the best that they can be.
